I'm not ingame right now, but shall purchase a tele outfit later. Match your line, hook size and bait to the species sought. Then you get stepped up models ( SU ) and commercial fishery models, then they switch to Avon rod types with TC of 1lb or more.Ī rod capable of handling lines of 20lb or more is in no way a match rod! But, semantics aside, the rod in use plays no part in determining how many bites you get. Because a match rod in the UK can handle lines from 12 ounces to maybe 4lbs. Line strength, or more specifically, diameter, does play a part.

Even hook size has little bearing on the amount of bites you get in this game.

However, the rod you use should have no bearing on the amount of bites received.

They are generally inferior and substandard here in the UK and that knowledge has biased me ingame. My thanks for the vote of confidence, but, Alas! I have not used a single telescopic rod.
